I am passionate about supporting families as they do the work to achieve healthy, positive birth experiences. Pregnancy and childbirth are normal, natural processes, and I trust the intuitive wisdom and strength of the birthing person. I believe families do best when they are informed of their options and supported in their decisions as they navigate pregnancy, childbirth, and early parenthood.
I have experienced first-hand the transformative power of birth twice. I am Mom to a contagiously enthusiastic eight-year-old who I birthed in the hospital setting, and a sunshine-filled two-year-old who I caught in a labor tub during our home birth. They are each constant reminders of the beautiful simplicity in this world, and I am forever grateful for the unique light they've brought to my life. My teammate-for-life, my husband, is a steady calm upon which our family floats. In addition to fostering community and connection with expecting families and fellow birth professionals, I enjoy spontaneous outdoor adventures, sitting with nature, cooking healthy meals and baking sourdough, spending time with my family and friends, strength training, and using natural remedies and supplements to maintain optimal health. Wellness starts from within, and I believe in taking care of myself so that I can be there for my family and the families I serve.

Did you know...
The maternal mortality rate in the US is horrifyingly high and continues to rise, especially for Black and American Indian/Alaska Native birthing people who are more than 3 and 2 times likely to experience deaths than white birthing persons. I support Black-owned organizations that work to reduce the risks of maternal morbidity and mortality in Black and Indigenous families. A portion of my collected fees go directly towards the efforts of Black-led organizations such as Black Women Birthing Justice and local organizations that primarily serve marginalized communities. Additionally, I offer one scholarship space at each of my Evidence Based Birth® Childbirth Classes with priority given to Black, Indigenous, and LGBTQ+ birthing families.
